Well, I already see that there were two new episodes posted online since last week, and I'll tell you right now that I can't promise I'm going to liveblog them both tonight. I am tired and have other things I also want to do, and liveblogging makes it take ages to watch a single episode. But I will not give in and just watch an episode without liveblogging, lol.

I don't know why I'm bothering to say all that, but there you go.

Spoilers under the cut.

Shaun is wearing a shirt that is my absolute favorite color. I am literally only saying that because I'm, like, 2 minutes into the show now and have had nothing else of note to comment on.

I always kind of wonder how these home cooks know all these famous chefs. The only one I have recognized this season was Aaron Sanchez, and that's just because he judges on Chopped all the time.

I think it's really cute how the family members got to choose the mystery box ingredient, but I also kind of feel like David and Brandi were at a bit of a disadvantage since it was their children who chose theirs while the other three had their mothers choose theirs. I mean, I'm sure the kids know their mom/dad well, but at the same time, a kid's mind just does not work the same way as an adult's, and their thought process behind choosing the ingredient was likely not quite as up to par. XD

I'm not sure if it's the smartest for Dan to be making turnovers when he already did in a different challenge. I mean, I don't think the judges can really say anything on that regard, but they already know Dan can cook those. Hopefully that isn't the case and the judges don't look down on Dan repeating a food.

And my point has been proven with Christina's quick interview with Brandi. XD Her son picked the ingredient because she makes corn on the cob for her kids often, not because it's a staple ingredient in her dishes. Unfair disadvantage.

I think Shaun is going to win the mystery box. It looks like he has the most impressive dish, making ravioli. I do have to wonder though if he won't be beaten just because a lot of the other chefs seem to have multiple elements to their dish? (And by a lot, I mean Brandi. But I also don't think Brandi will win just because she seemed to be struggling so much to come up with ideas for how to use her corn.)

I really liked Dan's plating. It looks super pretty to me, lol.

Oh shit, I forgot to pick who they were going to taste. For some reason, I always think they're going to start tasting everyone's once they get down to, like, the top 6. I think they'll try Shaun's, David's, and Tanorria's, with Shaun winning.

Oooh, wrong on the first one! Dan is chosen first. Well, he does have a pretty plate. The main reason I didn't guess he'd be chosen was, again, because he's made turnovers before, but I'm glad to see that didn't put him at a disadvantage after all.

Tanorria is the second one chosen. Okay, did she make the actual shortcake part of the shortcake herself, or were those premade rolls, because they sure as heck look like the premade rolls my mom uses to make strawberry shortcake. I can understand why she wouldn't be able to bake something herself in that amount of time, but if she honestly did use premade rolls, I don't feel like she deserved to be in the top 3. (I know, I guessed her anyway. Don't ask me why, because I really don't know. At least I was right.)

Okay, Christina commented directly on the biscuit, so I'm going to go ahead and assume that Tanorria did indeed make those herself, even though it didn't show her doing so.

And Shaun, predictably, is the third one chosen. (I would also like to note that the three people chosen were the ones who had their mothers as guests rather than their children. Doesn't necessarily prove my point, but still.)

What do you know, Shaun won. *yawn*

OKOK WHO'S GONNA GET WHICH BASKET. For sure I think David's going to get Brandi's basket. Brandi will get...Tanorria's. Dan will get David's and Tanorria will get Dan's.

Ooh, wrong on the first one. Dan gets Tanorria's basket. Oh man, wrong on the second as well, as Tanorria get's Brandi's basket. (I was so confident David was going to get that one! Dang.) Alright, well, Brandi got David's for basically the reverse reason that I thought David would be getting hers. Shaun is such an asshole, wanting Brandi to "work out of her comfort zone." When will people stop underestimating Brandi? And of course, Dan's basket goes to David.

My two least favorite contestants are being pissy at each other lol. Now this is the drama I live for.

David throwing a hissy fit over Dan's basket and poor Dan in the back just. I can't even figure out whether that expression is embarrassment or him trying not to laugh, but either way. I can just sense some secondhand embarrassment is coming though, oh my god, David. I know where this is going because I saw the preview, but at the same time, I'm just hoping that it's not what happens, because I will probably die from the secondhand embarrassment. Why is this guy such a child.

And then he has the nerve to taunt Brandi? Dude, that sweetie did absolutely nothing to anybody. You have literally no one to blame for this but Shaun. Even Dan can't be blamed since there's no way he could've known he'd be sabotaging someone else when he chose those ingredients. I like how last week I thought redemption for David was possible. Turns out that it is absolutely not.

Aaaaaaand there he goes! I have a feeling Ramsey will work some magic and get him back somehow, but I say just let him go. Good riddance. If you're going to be that childish, you don't deserve to win anyway.

Surprise surprise, Motivational Speaker Ramsey has coaxed him back. Willing to bet he's not going to get eliminated after that little show, goddammit. Should've just let him go. The kitchen is no place for a temper tantrum.

Christina trying to create drama between Dan and Tanorria. I absolutely loved Tanorria's reaction though, oh my god, she is awesome. Just that little smirk. She knows she would've had that dish in the bag if she'd made it to the point that she's not even mad. Ahh, I love her.
(But also screw you, Christina, for trying to create pointless drama. We already had enough of that this episode and it was actually good drama don't ruin this for me.)

Also no one called Brandi on "copying" Shaun. I mean, I can't prove it, but how do we know that Brandi didn't decide to make ravioli just because Shaun did in the last round? It's not like Dan and Tanorria are both making gumbo...Dan just decided to make gumbo after learning that's what Tanorria had intended to do with the ingredients. Plus, it's kind of Tanorria's fault for revealing what she had been planning to make to everyone else in the first place.

I know I usually guess who's leaving before the judging, but it's too hard to do with this small amount of people.

David's dish is good for what ingredients he had, but I have a feeling that unless someone else seriously screwed up, he's going. Ramsey made it clear that his tantrum was unacceptable.

(I don't know why it was so funny, but I loved that there was all this drama when David was going up there with his dish and then Tanorria is called after him and it was like a breath of fresh air. She's just immediately all perky about her lamb dksahfoe not that I didn't already love her, but Tanorria is golden in this episode.)

Tanorria's dish is great. The best thing about this is that she proved Shaun wrong, since he was convinced she'd overcook the lamb.

On a sidenote, Brandi hasn't come to the front yet, but I'm genuinely scared for her. It's not that I don't believe in her or anything, but pasta is just so far from what she usually makes that I'm nervous. It would suck so hard if she was thrown out on this round, because I will forever stand behind my opinion that she should win.

Yeahhh, Brandi's dish was great! Whew, she's definitely safe. Now Dan just has to knock it out of the park and David's out of here.

Ugh, and now Tanorria's being irritated. I'm guessing the interviewers kind of edged her in that direction since her natural reaction did not seem that offended, but still.

Also oops, it's a jambalaya not a gumbo. My bad.

Christina seems personally offended by Dan "copying" Tanorria, and I am not impressed. Dan's dish is meh.

So basically it's down to what is the bigger sin: Copying or throwing a tantrum.

Okay, so after judging, I think Brandi had the best dish and the two worst is going to be David and Dan. If I have to pick who's going, I'd say Dan even though it kills me.

Brandi did have the best dish! Yay!

And David and Dan are in the bottom two.

dsjalkdhiaoh FUCK EVERYTHING DAVID GOT THROUGH FUCKING SHIT I'M SO MAD. HE HAS HAD A BAD ATTITUDE TIME AND TIME AGAIN AND HE KEEPS GETTING MORE AND MORE CHANCES BECAUSE HIS FOOD IS APPARENTLY GREAT BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THERE COMES A POINT WHEN IT SHOULD STOP MATTERING BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW GREAT HIS FOOD IS NO ONE IS GOING TO WANT TO WORK WITH AN ASSHOLE OH MY GOD I'M SO MAD. I mean, I saw it coming (*cough*look at my spot-on predictions*cough*) BUT I'M STILL FURIOUS. For once I really wanted to be wrong.

Dan has such a great attitude. The difference between him and David is astounding.

*sigh* I'm bitter.
